Man died after police open fire on his car in Karachi

KARACHI: Karachi police opened fire on a car near Cantt station early Friday morning. One man dead and another got seriously injured.
According to details, all three policemen in the mobile have been arrested. South SSP Nazeer told that they were all from the Gizri police station.
The dead man has been identified as 40-year-old Nabil Hoodbhoy. His friend, who was injured in the attack has been identified as Raza Imam.
In a statement given by Imam to the police stated that they got in their car near Khadda Market. The police followed them but they did not realize they were even behind them. When they stopped the car near Cantt station, the policemen opened fire. Imam also told the police that he and Hoodbhoy were in the import and export business.
Those three policemen are currently in custody. They have been identified as Sub-Inspector Ghaffar, Head Constable Aftab and Police Constable Mohammad Ali Shah. The 9mm pistol used to fire at the car has been seized.
A case has been lodged against the three policemen at the Artillery Maidan police station on behalf of Imam.
