 Man barges into Sarim Burney’s office, opens fire

KARACHI: A man has tortured staff of Sarim Burney Trust office in Saddar area of Karachi after they refused to let him take his sister in law without her consent.

The man has been identified as Naveed Ahmed, son of Sher Ahmed and resident of Old Sabzi Mandi. He arrived at the office with pistol in his hand. He tried to take his sister in law forcibly, but upon resistance from the staff he tortured them, threatened for bad consequences and went away after opening aerial firing.

Sarib Burney said that they had to face such incidents frequently, however his teams were protecting lives of people at the risk of their own lives. He said doing work in such situation was not easy, therefore police and other law enforcement agencies’ cooperation was much required.
