Man arrested for issuing SIM cards using artificial thumbprints

DI KHAN: A resident of Dera Ismail Khan, Sajid Ali Marwat has been arrested under the accusation of using artificial thumbprints to purchase SIM cards.

According to the police officials, Sajid was a sales officer in a telecommunication company, Telenor. Around 350 SIM cards issued under fake names and 110 artificial thumbprints of women have been recovered from him. He has been fooling the women of age 40 and above to get their fingerprints to make rubber prints from them.

The accused has been scamming in order to achieve the assigned target from the company.

Moreover, Sajid Ali was abetted by a man of Khushab during this fraudulent journey. They used to sell the SIMs expensively to those who wanted them without using their fingerprints.
