Malaysia has imposed a travel ban on Pakistan and on some other countries due to the rising positivity ratio of covid-19.
The Malaysian immigration authorities issued a notification which stated that a ban has been imposed on Pakistan , Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal.
Moreover, the decision will be followed from 8th May, notification revealed.
According to Senior Malaysia Minister Ismail Yakoob, the travelling ban is for the all the citizens of the countries including holding long-term social visit passes, business travellers and for social visits.
“Exemptions are, however, given to holders of diplomatic passports and officials as stated in the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations 1961. This category will be considered to enter Malaysia using the existing standard operating procedures,” said Ismail Yaqoob.
After the announcement, the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has stopped scheduling flights for Malaysia.
