Malala Yousufzai arrives in Pakistan to visit flood-hit areas

An advocate for girls’ education and Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousufzai arrived in Karachi city of Pakistan on Tuesday to visit the flood-hit areas of the country.
Malala Yousufzai along with her parents reached Karachi by private airline flight.
On arrival in Karachi, Malala Yousafzai was provided full security by the police, she will visit the areas affected by the devastating floods in Pakistan.
Last month, Malala Yousafzai, co-founder of Malala Fund, met Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on the sidelines of the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
On this occasion, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif appreciated Malala Yousufzai’s global advocacy on social issues, especially the education of girls.
Highlighting the damage and devastation caused by the recent catastrophic floods that caused massive loss of life and property, the Prime Minister expressed his concern over the impact of the floods on educational infrastructure.
Malala Yousufzai reiterated her commitment to promote the ‘right to education for all girls’ and expressed sorrow over the loss of schools infrastructure by the recent floods in Pakistan. She expressed her determination to help the underprivileged children, especially girls.
Malala assured the Malala Fund’s will support Pakistan to deal with the effects of the devastating floods, especially for girls’ access to education.
