 Makkah’s oldest worshiper dies at 134

Sheikh Awad Moawad Al-Subhi Al-Harbi, reportedly the oldest worshiper in Makkah Al Mukkaramah, has passed away at the age of 134.

The funeral prayer of Sheikh Awad al-Harbi was performed in Masjid-al-Haram and he was buried in the Haram cemetery.

According to Haramain Sharifain, a website that provides news about Masjid al-Haram and Masjid-e-Nabawi (PBUH), Sheikh Awad al-Harbi had a long life and was the oldest citizen of Makkah.

Sheikh Harbi was a well-known figure in Masjid Al Haram as someone who used to attend the ‘five daily Prayers’ regularly and was nicknamed ‘Dove of the Haram’, the publication reported.

Scores of people shared their memories of him amid the news of his passing on social media.
