Mumbai Police has summoned filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, Karan Johar’s manager, and actress Kangana Ranaut in the Shushant Singh suicide case.

According to NDTV, Mahesh Bhatt will record his statement to the Mumbai Police in the next two days, while Karan Johar may also be called for questioning in the next phase if necessary.

Kangana Ranaut had said in a controversial interview recently that Sushant was not being treated well in the industry. Among the people named by the actress were Mahesh Bhatt and Karan Johar.

Mumbai Police had also sent a notice to Ranaut in this regard but the actress said that she would not be able to appear at the police station to record her statement as she was in Himachal Pradesh.

Shant Singh Rajput, a 34-year-old actor in the Indian film industry, committed suicide on June 14 at his residence in Mumbai. The documents obtained by the police from the actor’s residence show that he was suffering from depression and was undergoing treatment.

Police are investigating the matter from different angles, including professional animosity.
