PESHAWAR: All the members of Lady Reading Hospital Peshawar’s Board of Governors have been suspended over deaths of eight patients in one night.
Young Doctors Association KP alleged that because of the negligence of the board members and government’s taking no action against them had put patients in trouble.
The hospital administration has formed a two-member inquiry committee to investigation the happening.
In a letter written by ICU in-charge Dr Salma Zaib to the hospital administration, it was revealed that the eight patients died in the night of Mar 31 for lack of beds at the intensive care unit.
Seven of the victims were being treated at the isolation ward, while one of them was from Pulmonology ward.
