Lowest Covid positive cases reported in Pakistan

According to the data shared by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) on Tuesday (today), 216 new positive cases have been recorded.
The previous lowest Covid-19 positive cases tally was recorded 14 months ago when 213 people were tested positive.
As per NCOC, 216 people were tested positive after 33,435 Covid-19 conducted tests.
So far, Pakistan has witnessed a total of 1,280,092 positive cases since the NCOC begin to record the data.
The positive cases are declining as the positivity percentage has dropped to less than 1 percent. The current positivity rate stands at 0.64 percent.
Meanwhile, six people have lost their lives because of this deadly virus after which the death toll jumped to 28,618.

Earlier, Asad Umar tweeted regarding the vaccination drive, “Reached important milestone of 50% of country’s eligible population receiving at least 1 dose. KP became 2nd province to vaccinate half it’s eligible population with at least 1 dose. Yesterday was highest vaccination day in Pakistan with 1.7 million doses. #WelldonePakistan,” tweeted the NCOC head.”
Globally there is a development regarding the Covid-19 cure as US pharma giants Merck and Pfizer have announced encouraging results for oral drugs, while an anti-depressant pill has also shown promise in what could open up a new chapter in the fight against the pandemic.
