Pakistan records the lowest number of Covid-19 positive cases in the last 24 hours as National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) reported 231 new cases.
In the last 24 hours, Pakistan witnessed its lowest number of positive cases after 33,862 conducted tests for Covid-19. The positive cases ratio remained less than 1 percent as the total stood at 0.68 percent.
1,119 Covid-19 positive patients are in critical condition who are admitted to the hospitals across the country. 11 more citizens lost their lives to this deadly virus as the tally went up to 28,595.
Asad Umar, head of National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) tweeted on November 01 about the major milestone achieved by the country regarding jabbing Covid-19 vaccines of 50 % of the eligible population.

“Reached important milestone of 50% of country’s eligible population receiving at least 1 dose. KP became 2nd province to vaccinate half it’s eligible population with at least 1 dose. Yesterday was highest vaccination day in Pakistan with 1.7 million doses. #WelldonePakistan,” tweeted the NCOC head.
Globally there is a development regarding the Covid-19 cure as US pharma giants Merck and Pfizer have announced encouraging results for oral drugs, while an anti-depressant pill has also shown promise in what could open up a new chapter in the fight against the pandemic.
