Local Bodies poll in KPK will be held in December

According to media reports, The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) administration has declared that local bodies (LB) elections would be held across the province in December this year.
Kamran Bagash, the special assistant to CM KP, made the announcement today. Bangash stated that a letter has been written to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) regarding the conduct of local body elections in December.
The provincial administration has promised that all plans for the local body elections would be made and promised that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) will win.
The KP cabinet has already passed the Local Councils Conduct of Election Rules 2020.
The mandate of the KP local bodies system ended in August 2020, and the ECP recently met to assess election preparations. Article 140 (A) and Section (4) 219 of the Election Act 2017 require the commission to organise elections within 120 days of the expiration of the LB mandate.

In May of this year, the Sindh administration informed the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) that it would be unable to hold local government elections in the province in 2021 due to doubts about the overpopulation census.
According to reports, the local body elections could not be held in the nation this year since the province administration informed the ECP that the elections could not be held in 2021.
