Listen to the ‘scary sounds’ of Earth’s Magnetic Field

Scientists at the Technical University of Denmark, working with the European Space Agency (ESA), have recorded something closer to us; something essential to life on Earth — the magnetic field.

It may be hard to believe but this sound will definitely scare you.

The European Space Agency (ESA) has released a 5-minute audio file that records the sound of the magnetic field.

Earth’s magnetosphere protects our planet from harmful solar and space particle radiation.

Researchers at the Technical University of Denmark took magnetic field signals from European Space Agency satellite data and converted them into sound.

In this 5-minute audio, sounds like deep breathing can be heard that send ‘thrills down the spine’.

“The sound of the Earth’s magnetic field is really scary,” researchers said.
