ISLAMABAD: President Arif Alvi granted six Nishan-e-Imtiaz, three Hilal-e-Imtiaz, 24 Sitara-i- Shuja’at , eight Sitara-e-Imtiaz, 14 Pride of Performance awards, one Sitara-e-Quaid-e-Azam, one Sitara-e-Khidmat, one Tamgha-i-Pakistan, 22 Tamgha-i-Shuja’at and eight Tamgha-e-Imtiaz awards on 23rd March.
Sadiqain Naqvi, Bushra Ansari Syed Farooq Qaiser Sultana Siddiqi received Sitara-e-Imtiaz for art. Whereas, Abida Parveen received the same award for singing and Ahmad Faraz in literature.
The President’s Award for Pride of Performance was received by Maulana Tariq Jameel for his contribution in religious teachings.
Muhammad Ali Shehki, Resham, Humayon Saeed, Ali Zafar also received pride of performance award.
Moreover, Zaiba Shehnaz and Faisal Edhi were awarded Tamgha-e-Imtiaz.









On this occasion, Governor of Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said that we all have to make Pakistan strongly developed and prosperous.
Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said that there were several people from different fields who had contributed in uplifting the name of Pakistan. “They are our heroes,” he said.
The governor Punjab handed over awards to Naeem Bukhari and Farooq Shahbaz. Late cricketer Abdul Qadir was also granted the civil award which was received by his wife.
The law expert Ahmad Irfan Aslam and Mohammad Baqar Naqash were awarded with Sitar-e-Imtiaz and pride of performance, respectively, Mohammad Shafiq was awarded with civil award for the best art of literacy. The famous Santo Qawal was also honored with the pride of performance award.
