 LHC orders to release PTI workers arrested during Long March

Justice Sardar Ahmed Naeem of Lahore High Court Rawalpindi Bench on Friday ordered to release the PTI protestors arrested in raids during the PTI’s ‘Azadi March’.

Punjab Police arrested dozens of PTI and Awami Muslim League workers during the long march.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Rawalpindi District President and Member Provincial Assembly Wasiq Qayyum Abbasi had filed a petition in the court alleging that police had arrested dozens of PTI and Awami Muslim League (AML) workers.

Dr. Babar Awan and Advocate Sardar Abdul Raziq Khan appeared in the court on behalf of petitioner Wasiq Qayyum Abbasi.

Justice Sardar Naeem Ahmed of Lahore High Court Rawalpindi Bench heard the petition filed against the arrest of PTI and Awami Muslim League workers. The court directed the district administration to release the arrested workers.
