LHC dismisses Khawaja Saad Rafique, brother’s bail plea
LAHORE: The Lahore High Court on Tuesday dismissed the bail petition filed by the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Khawaja Saad Rafique and his brother Khawaja Salman Rafique in Paragon Housing scam reference.
A two-member bench headed by Justice Baqir Ali Najafi continued hearing of the Paragon Housing Scam case against the Khawaja Brothers and rejected their application seeking an extension in their pre-arrest bail in the graft case filed by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) earlier this year.
Both brothers are currently under judicial custody. They are suspected of involvement in corruption in Paragon City (pvt) Limited project.
The anti-watchdog lawyer said it had launched an inquiry against the siblings for allegedly owning assets beyond known sources of income.
