LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Thursday approved Pakistan Muslim League-N President Shehbaz Sharif’s bail in assets beyond means case.
Justice Baqir Najfi announced that the three-member bench of the LHC unanimously approved the bail.
NAB Prosecutor Faisal presented details of assets of Shehbaz Sharif before the court. However, the NAB official said that no details of Telegraphic Transfers (TTs) into the suspect’s bank accounts were available.
Talking to media outside LHC, PML-N Leader Rana Sanaullah said that the PML-N president was being politically victimised.
On Oct 20, 2020, an accountability court of Lahore had sent Shehbaz Sharif on judicial remand in money laundering and assets beyond means case.
Hearing the case, the court had however rejected plea of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) for 14-day physical remand.
