Legendary singer Attaullah Khan Esakhelvi celebrates 69th birthday today
The legendary singer of Punjabi and Sarayiki, Attaullah Khan Esakhelvi was born in IsaKhel, Mianwali, Punjab. His song ‘Ae thaywa Mundri da thaywa’ got him famous publicly.
The Government of Pakistan awarded him the Sitara-e-Imtiaz on 23 March 2019 and he also got the Pride of Performance Award in 1991. In 2011 he appeared in Coke Studio (season 4) and sang 2 songs Ni Oothaan Waale and Pyaar Naal.
Attaullah is famous for his songs in Punjabi, Saraiki and Urdu as well. ‘Kameez teri kali’ and ‘Chan kitha guzari hayee raat way’ is famous in the current generations of music lovers as well. He also tried his luck in Lollywood but was not very successful with that.
