Legendary Comedian Umer Sharif’s dead body reaches Karachi

KARACHI: The dead body of renowned comedian Umer Sharif has reached to Karachi Airport, in early hours of Wednesday (today).
Umer Sharif’s widow Zareen Ghazal and Consul General Amjad Ali have also arrived along with the body.
The body has been brought through a Turkish Airlines flight TK708.
CAA customs and airline officials were also present at the cargo terminal to make the arrangements and to receive the dead body .
The body has been handed over to his sons Jawad Umer and Fawad Umer.
The body of Umer Sharif was then wrapped in a national flag and taken to the morgue. Flower petals were sprinkled on the ambulance carrying the body of Umer Sharif.
The funeral prayers of the deceased will be offered at 3 pm today at Umer Sharif Park Clifton by Maulana Bashir Farooqi.

On October 4, the Nuremberg Municipality issued an official death certificate of Pakistani legend actor Umer Sharif.
The Pakistani Consul General Zahid Hussain had said that after the issuance of the official death certificate, Umer Sharif’s body was handed over to his wife and diplomatic staff, by the hospital.
According to diplomatic sources, the Pakistani community and diplomatic staff made arrangements for ghusl-e-mayyat and shroud.
Umer Sharif’s funeral prayers were also offered at the Turkish Mosque in Nuremberg at 1pm local time.
A large number of Pakistanis and people from other countries gathered for Umer Sharif’s funeral prayers.
Earlier September 28, Umer Sharif was airlifted from Pakistan to the United States for treatment and due to long travelling duration his health deteriorated a bit for which he got admitted in a hospital in Germany where he was receiving treatment.
Umer Sharif was born in Karachi’s Liaqatabad on April 19, 1955. Umer Sharif commenced his career at the age of 14.
