ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has issued statistical data of registered male and female voters’ lists of all four provinces and the federal capital.

The total number of registered voters in the country is more than 118.224 million out of which over 65.3 million are male and over 52.92 million are female voters.

The election commission has asked the voters to verify their vote registration by sending their CNIC number to 8300 through SMS.

On Mar 9, Prime Minister Imran Khan had once again expressed the commitment to bring in the latest technology to ensure transparency in the elections.

Chairing the cabinet meeting in Islamabad, PM Imran Khan had emphasized the need for using electronic voting machines in the elections to make the whole process transparent. He had also said that efforts were being made to give the right of franchise to overseas Pakistanis. He had said he would regularly take updates on both the matters.
