LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) leader captain (retd) Safdar has said that a laser gun was used in a bid to assassin PML-N Vice President and his wife Maryam Nawaz.

He said the same way former prime ministers Benazir Bhutto and Liaquat Ali Khan were assassination, an attempt was made to murder Maryam Nawaz as well while she appeared before the National Accountability Bureau in Lahore earlier last week

Safdar Awan accused Prime Minister Imran Khan, the NAB director general and others for embroilment in the attempted murder. He said he feared that Shehzad Akbar might not become an approver in the case and flee from the country.
