Lahore, Sindh traders announce opening markets from May 10

The Anjuman-e-Tajran Lahore has said that their markets will be opened on May 10.

The lockdown has been placed in effect by the Center until May 9. A decision has yet to be taken on its extension. Pakistan has previously registered at least 21,500 confirmed cases of the novel virus.

Speaking to the media on Tuesday, the Lahore traders said if the government doesn’t lift it after May 9, they’ll breach the lockdown.

“We are not challenging the writ of the State. Traders of Lahore want to resume their businesses,” the traders said.

At the other hand, Sindh traders have also announced that they will resume business from May 10.

Chairman of Sindh Tajir Ittehad Jameel Paracha says people can not feed their families.
