KARACHI: In the 4th match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 6, opener Fakhar Zaman and middle order batsman Mohammad Hafeez guided Lahore Qalandars to decimate Quetta Gladiators by 9 wickets.
Batting first, Quetta Gladiators had piled 178 runs against Lahore Qalandars on Monday at the National Stadium Karachi.
First wicket for Quetta Gladiators came very late as Lahore’s skipper Sohail Akhter was bowled out in the ninth over. Then, there was no turning back as fiery Mohammad Hafeez joined Fakhar Zaman to finish off the match with 10 balls to spare.
Fakhar made 82 off 52 with the help of eight 4s and two 6s, while the Professor bludgeoned 73 off 33 with the help of five 4s and six 6s.
The Lieutenant was awarded Man of the Match Award.

Just in second over of the match, Haris Rauf dismissed Tom Banton. In the third over, Shaheen Shah Afridi removed Saim Ayub.
At the end of 10 overs, Quetta Gladiators scored 68 runs for the loss of two wickets.
Sarfraz Ahmed and Gayle stitched more than 100 runs together, until the Gladiators skipper (40) was caught out off Haris Rauf’s ball in 14th over. In the next over, Rahid Khan bowled out Gayle (68 off 40). The Universe Boss hit fives 6s and as many 4s.
Ahmed Daniyal picked up Azam Khan’s wicket in 18th over.
Earlier, Lahore Qalandars had won the toss and elected to bowl first against Quetta Gladiators.
