 Lahore Qalandars smashed Karachi Kings by 6 wickets

Karachi: Lahore Qalandars defeated Karachi Kings in the sixth match of Pakistan Super League (PSL 7).

Fakhar Zaman and Abdullah Shafiq started the innings for Lahore Qalandars in pursuit of the target, which was not good as Abdullah Shafiq was dismissed for just 8 runs on a total score of 24.

Later, on a total score of 48, Kamran Ghulam returned to the pavilion with 6 runs scored. Lahore Qalandars’ third wicket fell at 90 when Mohammad Hafeez was dismissed for 24 off Imad Wasim’s ball. Fakhr Zaman, meanwhile, batted aggressively and completed a half-century off 33 balls with the help of 1 six and 6 fours.

Karachi Kings started batting confidently at the invitation of Qalandars and the two openers formed a partnership of 84 runs in the first wicket and at the same time Sharjeel Khan scored 60 runs and fell victim to Hafeez. Karachi King’s second wicket fell at 106, third at 122, fourth at 138 and fifth at 142, then Sahibzada Farhan and Joey Clarke batted aggressively to take the score to 163. Unfortunately, Sahibzada Farhan of Karachi Kings also got out.

Later, when Imad Wasim came to accompany Joey Clarke, he fell victim to Harris Rauf without scoring a run, followed by Umaid Asif who faced only one ball.

Karachi Kings scored 170 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs, in which Sharjeel Khan remained the leading batsman with 60 runs while Babar Azam scored 41 runs while five players of Karachi Kings could not scored the double figure even.

Lahore Qalandars’ Haris Rauf took three wickets, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Zaman Khan, Rashid Khan and Muhammad Hafeez took one wicket each.

Lahore Qalandars have not made any changes in their squad while Karachi Kings have given a chance to Sahibzada Farhan and Umaid Asif today.
