LAHORE: Marylebone Cricket Club kicked off their Lahore tour with a four-wicket victory over Lahore Qalandars in a 20-over match that took place in Gaddafi Stadium.
Ravi Bopara scored 42 runs out of 37 balls, comprising two fours and a six. MCC chased a 136-run target and four balls remaining. Bopara partnered with Samit Patel, who made 31 runs from 25 balls striking two sixes and a four.
MCC captain Kumar Sangakkara scored 25 off 27, hitting a triple of fours.
Mohammad Faizan gave two for 18 in 2.2 overs, selected by the bowlers of the Lahore Qalandars.
Fakhar Zaman and Sohail Akhtar made 45 and 40 (not out) as MCC chose to field after winning the toss.
Zaman smashed spectacular five fours and a six in the span of his 36-ball period, meanwhile Sohail hit two sixes and a four in his 28-ball stay.
