Lahore, Karachi again top world’s most polluted cities list

Pakistan’s largest cities Lahore and Karachi once again topped (1st and 2nd respectively) the ranking of the most polluted cities in the world, according to the US Air Quality Index.
With the change of weather, the air quality of the cities of Pakistan has become polluted again, the air quality of the city of Lahore has been declared as extremely harmful to health.
According to US AQI, with an air quality index of 162, Lahore has come to the first place in the list of the most polluted cities in the world.

In the list of the most polluted cities in the world, Karachi ranked second, where the amount of polluted particles in the air was recorded at 157 particulate meters.
The Indonesian city Jakarta on the third place, where the amount of polluted particles was recorded at 151, on the fourth place was the Saudi Arabian city of Riyadh, where the air quality index recorded at 133.
The fifth place was Tehran, Iran, where the air quality index recorded at 129, the Croatian city of Zagreb was at the sixth place with an index of 123.
Poland’s Krakow ranked seventh with 121 index, North Macedonia’s Skopje eighth with 111 index, Mongolia’s Ulaanbaatar ninth with 111 index, and Kuwait City ranked tenth with 110 index.
According to Air Quality Index, pollution from 151 to 200 level is ‘harmful to health’, pollution from 201 to 300 level is ‘very harmful to health’, while more than 301 level indicates dangerous pollution.
