Lahore High Court issues notice to PM’s advisers

The Lahore High Court (LHC) has again issued notices to the advisers who did not file reply to the petition against the appointment of Special Assistants and Advisors to Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Chief Justice Lahore High Court Justice Qasim Khan heard the petition against the appointment of special advisers and special assistants. Replies were submitted by Prime Minister Imran Khan, Law Ministry and four advisers.
In his reply, the Prime Minister termed the appointment of advisors as in accordance with the Constitution and the law and said that the appointment of advisors is a matter for the Prime Minister.
Shehzad Akbar in his reply said that the Islamabad High Court has declared his appointment legal, therefore the petition should be declared inadmissible.
Notices were again issued to Abdul Razzaq Dawood, Amin Aslam, Dr Ishrat Hussain, Babar Awan, Moeed Yousuf, Zulfi Bukhari, Sania Nishtar, Nadeem Afzal Chan and Shahbaz Gul for not submitting reply.
The court has directed the principal secretary to the prime minister to comply with the court order
