 Lahore High Court bans use of polythene bags at hotels and shops

The Lahore High Court has banned the use of polythene bags at Lahore hotels and shops.

The court gave out two weeks to shops and hotels to phase out plastic bags during a hearing on Friday.

The court plans to ban the use of plastic bags in other cities during the next process well.

The judges asked representatives of corporations when they should stop manufacturing plastic bottles.

Department of Punjab Wildlife has promised the order would be enforced.
