 Lahore father kills newly married couple in the name of honor

In another gruesome incident, father killed his 17-year-old daughter and 18-year-old son-in-law in the name of honor in Halloki area of Lahore, city police said.

The incident took place in Kahana town of Lahore where the father killed his daughter and son-in-law in the name of honor.

According to the police, 18-year-old Adnan and 17-year-old Farah had run away from home three days ago to solemnize free will marriage, when both returned home Farah’s father, Sharif, opened fire along with his brother Sohail.

Farah and her husband Adnan died on the spot while the accused fled after the murder.

The police and forensic team have collected the evidence and shifted the bodies to the mortuary for post-mortem.

Taking notice of the incident, the deputy inspector general (DIG) operations sought a report from Model Town’s superintendent of police (SP).
