‘Kyarr’ cyclone effects Karachi’s coastline, rain to be expected in the city

KARACHI: Due to sea storm ‘Kyarr’, strong winds and rain is expected in the city, whereas, the storm has hit the coastal belt of the city.

According to the Meteorological Department, the cyclone in Karachi is likely to cause strong winds today and may cause northeast winds at 18 to 27 kilometers per hour.

The maximum temperature in Karachi could be between 35 to 37 degrees Celsius, minimum 22 degrees was recorded earlier, whereas, the humidity in the air was 33 percent, the meteorological department said.

On the other hand, the cyclone caused sea levels to rise overnight and flooded areas along the coastline.

The flood affected Rehri Goth, Lath Basti and Cheshti Goth of Ibrahim Haidri.
