A Saudi Arabian company ‘MUVI Cinemas’ has opened a pop-up movie theater in Riyadh, labelled as the country’s first drive-in cinema since the nationwide ban on cinemas was lifted in 2018.

The cinema can accommodate up to 150 vehicles while maintaining social distancing measures, organisers said.

Strict SOPs measures like wearing masks and checking temperatures have also been made mandatory for audience.

However, Saudi Arabia has so far recorded 365,988 cases of the Coronavirus, including 6,346 total deaths during COVID-19 pandemic.
