Pakistan is being represented at the United Nations peacekeeping mission in Sudan by two female police officers from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to the KP police, the two women policewomen of Elite Commando Gul Nisa Kundi and ASI Saima Sharif have begun their duties in Sudan.

Expressing her feelings, Commando Gul Nisa Kundi stated, “I feel proud to be a part of the UN mission in Sudan while representing KP Police and my hometown.”

Moreover, within past few years the recruitment of women officers have been increased across the province. A rise has been noticed in women being appointed as assistant superintendent of police (ASP) and assistant sub-inspector (ASI) in KP.
