KP’s 50 couples tie the knot in mass wedding ceremony
PESHAWAR: Fifty couples tied the knot in a single mass wedding ceremony in Kurram district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The event took place at Parachinar Eidgah area on Wednesday.
According to the sources, 50 grooms had been waiting for several years to get married but they were unable to do that due to financial issues. They said 5,000 couples have got married in mass wedding ceremonies so far in the area.
The organisers of the event made sure that clothes, kitchen utensils, and carpets, among other necessary household items, were provided to the newlywed couples.
“If they decide to go and set up their very own home, they wouldn’t have to purchase anything from bazaars by themselves but they would have a properly set-up home for themselves,” the organisers stated.
