KP MPA Nighat Orakzai tries to self-immolate

PESHAWAR: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Member of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Nighat Orakzai has tried to self-immolate by sprinkling petrol over herself before office of the KP Inspector General of Police.

Police officials saved Nighat Orakzai from setting herself on fire in protest against KP Governor Shah Farman. She blamed Shah Farman of protecting land mafia.

On directive of Shah Farman, land mafia had occupied my lands and the IGP was not taking action against them, she accused.

The PPP MPA said that she would self-immolate outside the governor’s house if she was not provided justice.

She said the governor and KP IGP would be responsible for her this act for the issue was not being resolved because of involvement of Shah Farman.
