PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Department has cancelled Eid ul Fitr holidays for healthcare workers in all hospitals of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, amid the multiplying cases of coronavirus.
“The competent authority has been pleased to cancel the Eid holidays for healthcare workers in all hospitals of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa including MTIs,” read the notification.
However, the secretary KP health department said the process of vaccination shall continue during those days except from May 13 to 15, which will be observed as Eid holidays for CVCs.
At least 140 more deaths and 4,298 new positive cases of Coronavirus infection have been reported in Pakistan during the last 24 hours.
According to the fresh statistics issued by the National Command and Operation Centre, 44,846 tests were conducted while positivity ratio remained 9.58 percent. The death toll due to Coronavirus has now reached 18,677.
