PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has issued SoPs for collecting animal hides during this Eid ul Adha.
The organisations which are banned will not be allowed to collect charity, offal or animal skins with the same name or under banner of another organization. The outfits which have been designated as terrorists under Anti-Terrorism Act 1997 are not allowed to participate in any kind of public activities.
The charity organisations which want to collect animal hides should submit an application at deputy commissioner’s office with an affidavit. The deputy commissioner’s office will be entitled to decide on the application within 5 days.
In case of an objection raised by District Intelligence Coordination Committee (DICC), the applicant will be bound to file a review application within two days.
All the applications will be resolved within five days and five days prior to Eid.
A deputy commissioner will identify a place where hides of sacrificial animals will be accumulated. The charity organisations registered with the deputy commissioner will be entitled to collect hides from the specified locations. The collector must have the permission letter and CNIC.
Establishment of any camp or installation of banner will not be allowed for collection of skins. No one will be forced to give you animal skin, otherwise an action would be taken under Anti-Terrorism Act 1997.
Use of loudspeaker is banned. Police will ensure halting illegal collection of hides of animals. Possession of weapons will not be allowed.
