KP govt decides to raise labourers’ minimum wage
PESHAWAR: The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has decided to raise minimum monthly wage of labourers.
The KP Directorate of Labour released a notification in this regard which read that monthly wage of labourers would be Rs21,000. While currently the minimum wage of labourers is Rs17,500 a month.
The notification said that the minimum wage decision would be applicable from July 2021. All the private and public sector businesses would be bound to follow the decision.
“The recommended minimum age shall apply to all adult, unskilled, juvenile and adolescent workers employed in all industrial or commercial undertakings whether registered or unregistered located in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,” it added.
