 KP govt decides to launch crackdown against public servants involved in political activities

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has decided to launch a crackdown against the public servants involved in political activities.

The Administrative Department has written to secretaries of all the departments to take action against such employees. According to KP Civil Servants Rule, there is ban on political association of public servants.

“Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government Servants (Conduct) Rules, 198 bar government servants from participation in political activities and holding portfolios of political parties,” read a notification issued by KP Establishment and Admin Department.
