KP govt calls on transporters to reduce fares as diesel prices fall

The transportation department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has called on transporters to lower tariffs as the diesel prices have fallen.

Diesel prices also had to reduce fares, the government argued in a notice.

It wants to reduce rates by 30 per cent for public transport. The fare for traveling from Peshawar to Mardan is currently Rs120, and under this notification should be reduced to Rs79.

The diesel price went down from Rs127 to Rs122.
