KP govt announces to resume physical classes for grade 9 to 12

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has announced to resume physical classes for grade 9 to 12 across the province on April 19 (Monday), by following coronavirus standard operating procedures.
KP Education Minister Shahram Khan Tarakai in a statement said that the provincial covid-19 task force meeting had decided that schools will be commenced from Monday, April 19, 2021.
“It is planned to stagger classes of grade 9, 10, 11 and 12 under the strict compliance of SOPs while the rest of the classes will be started from 27 April 2021,” he wrote in a post on his Twitter account.
The education minister said that SOPs should strictly be implemented in the districts where schools were open.
On Mar 24, the National Command and Operation Centre had announced to shut down educational institutions in different districts of the country till Apr 11.
The federal education minister, Shafqat Mahmood had said that educational institutes in the districts where coronavirus positivity ratio was higher should remain closed till Apr 11.
Later on Apr 6, the NCOC had decided to close classes of grade 1 to 8 in the districts where positivity ratio was higher across the country.
