Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa to produce organic fertiliser from waste materials

The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government has announced to bring the waste material and garbage into use to produce organic fertiliser.

According to the sources, through the aid of 200 million rupees from the concerned departments, a centre which will work to generate the organic fertiliser has been established in Mardan, a district of KP.

200 tons of waste will be used to produce organic fertiliser. However, five tons of garbage will be picked up from various areas daily, which will be transferred to the centre.

Moreover, after the waste material will undergo different processing methods, it will be stored for 45 days until it naturally turns into organic fertiliser.

The organic fertiliser is used globally, however it lacks in Pakistan. The initiative has been taken to ensure its availablity in Pakistan .

Furthermore, gradually more organic fertiliser production centres will be established across Pakistan.
