Khurshid Shah’s bail application postponed due to absence of a lawyer
Khursheed Shah’s bail application in the Supreme Court Karachi Registry has been postponed due to the absence of a lawyer. PPP leaders will spend Eid in jail.
Khursheed Shah and his son Farrukh Shah’s bail plea was to be heard today in the Supreme Court Karachi Registry on Thursday on charges of making assets in excess of income, which was adjourned due to absence of lawyer Farooq Naik.
The petition filed in the Karachi Registry states that Farooq H Naik is busy in Islamabad and cannot appear. The court granted the senior lawyer’s request for exemption from attendance.
It should be noted that PPP leader Khurshid Shah is accused of corruption of more than one billion rupees. The Sindh High Court Sukkur Bench had rejected the bail application of Khurshid Shah and his son.
