Khurram, Waqar killed Arshad Sharif with Kenyan Police: Rana Sanaullah

Federal interior minister Rana Sanaullah claimed that senior journalist Arshad Sharif was killed by Waqar Ahmed and Khurram Ahmed, hosts of Arshad Sharif in Kenya, along with Kenyan Police.

Talking to private news channel, Sanaullah said that the two brothers, Waqar and Khurram, killed Arshad Sharif along with the Kenyan police and then tried to turn this act as ‘mistaken identity’ killing.

“They both are not even providing access to their mobile phone data,” he added.

Rana Sanaullah stressed that the federal government’s investigation team also wants to investigate CEO ARY Salman Iqbal and CEO Karachi Kings Tariq Wasi.

Interior minister further said that he will request Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to talk to the President of Kenya again as the Kenyan police is not cooperating with the Pakistan’s interrogation team.

Earlier in a statement, Pakistan’s Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah said the initial probe showed that journalist Arshad Sharif was “murdered” in Kenya and it was not a case of mistaken identity as claimed by the local police.

“Arshad Sharif was murdered. It was a targeted murder and not a case of mistaken identity,” he said, rejecting the claim by the Kenyan police about the incident.
