Khadija Siddiqi Is Officially A Barrister Now

In May 2016, Khadija Siddiqi was stabbed 23 time in broad daylight outside her sister’s school in Lahore. Her sister also got injured as she tried to save Khadija. Somehow, Siddiqi’s driver managed to pull the assailant off and took her to the hospital. Khadija got intensive care to heal up her slashed neck, wounded arms and deep back injury.
Siddiqi’s class mate Shah Hussain was the attacker whom she had rejected. In 2017, he was convicted and sentenced to seven years in prison. But Hussain, son of a prominent Lahori Lawyer was released on June 4 and was cleared from all the charges.
Siddiqi stood strong and took the matter to the Supreme Court, which in January gave decision in her favor and punished 5 years of imprisonment to Hussain.
In September 2018, Siddiqi went to UK to complete her degree from the Blackstone School Of Law (University of London). After clearing 12 examinations, Khadija Siddiqi is finally a barrister now.
She shared a picture of herself in her black lawyers’ robes on Friday, holding her degree with an announcement that she is now a barrister.
