Kashmiri kid exposes murderer of his grandfather
SRINGAR: The child, whose grandfather was killed before his eyes, has exposed murderers of the elderly man in Sopore, a town in Baramulla district of occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
Pictures of the incident had gone viral. The Indian forces had claimed that they protected the child, while it could be seen clearly that one of the Indian soldiers was standing with his one leg on the body. In the new video, the three-year-old says that police officials killed his grandfather.
India’s occupational forces on July 1 shot down the elderly man in front of his grandson.
Taking to social media, people had reacted strongly against the inhuman act. Wife of Kashmir’s revolutionary liberation leader Yasin Malik, Mushaal Hussein Malik had also condemned the incident.
“Today, they have killed a man in front of a mere 3yrs old grandson. Can you imagine what impact it would have left on the child? And it is the story of every child in Indian Occupied Kashmir. The event has already taken a beautiful childhood from the kid. Do Kashmiri lives not matter? Are our children not allowed to have a beautiful childhood?” she had queried in a tweet.
Sharing picture of the incident, Foreign Office Spokesperson Aisha Farooqui had written, “Searching for words to describe this picture of grief & helplessness of the Kashmiri people in IOJK today.”
In a video message, Mushaal Malik had said the elderly man was going in his car to buy milk from a shop and he was pulled out by “the Indian terrorist army” and killed point-black in front of his son.
Secretary General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres while expressing grief over the killing of a grandfather before his three-year-old grandson in Sopore area of occupied Kashmir, has said that those responsible for the killing of the civilian must be brought to account.
Stephane Dujarric, the Spokesperson for the UN Secretary General, during a weekly press briefing in New York when asked about the gruesome incident, said, “We will look into it. Obviously people who were responsible need to be brought to account. But let me look further into it.”
Stephane Dujarric was responding to the killing of a 65-year old Bashir Ahmed Khan during a cordon and search operation by Indian troops in Model town area of Sopore, yesterday. The incident took a dramatic turn after a picture went viral on social media showing the 3-year old grandson of the slain man crying while sitting on the body of his dead grandfather.
