ISLAMABAD: A witness has recorded his statement with police on Wednesday against son of Federal Ombudsperson for Protection Against Harassment of Women at Workplace Kashmala Tariq saying that he was driving the car that rammed into a bike and another vehicle on Islamabad’s Srinagar Highway on Feb 1.

A major accident on Srinagar Highway (Kashmir Highway) in Islamabad due to over speeding of a vehicle had resulted in the tragic accident which had left six people dead.

Contrary to the former MNA’s claim, the eyewitness Mujib ur Rehman, who got injured in the road mishap, said that he saw Azlaan (Kashmala’s son) driving the vehicle. He said all that he wanted was justice for his families and friends.

In a press conference, Kashmala Tariq had said that neither of her family members was driving the cars which were involved in the accident. She had said that drivers were steering the cars.

“Me and my husband were sitting in Lexus, while my son was in Fortuner,” she had said.
