Karachi’s Hafiz-e-Quran shot dead by robbers over resistance

One more youth, 20-year-old Hafiz Osama on Monday night lost his life for resisting robbery in Karachi after he refused to give his mobile phone to the street criminals near the Shadman town area.
According to the authorities, the victim was identified as 20-year-old Osama. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for post-mortem.
The deceased Osama was riding a motorcycle with his friends. He stopped the motorcycle to ask for directions, as soon as the motorcycle stopped, 2 robbers tried to rob and on resistance they opened fire, due to which Hafiz Osama died.
In seprate incident, a man named Junaid, who reached mortuary services to buy a shroud for the burial of his nephew was deprived of a motorbike in the Korangi area of Karachi.
Almost 350 people have been killed over robbery resistance in different areas of the metropolis during the first eight month of the ongoing year.
Street crime increased extraordinary after floods: police
The port city has witnessed an alarming increase in street crime after the catastrophic floods in the country. Besides, half of the criminals caught by Karachi police belong to other parts of the country, Sindh police officials told the Standing Committee on Interior.
