Karachi to receive torrential rain till October 02

There is a strong possibility of torrential rain in Karachi from today till October 2, according to Pakistan Meteorological Department.
The Meteorological Department has warned that roads and streets in the city are at risk of flooding. Hot winds continued to blow in the city last night due to the cyclone in the Arabian Sea.
The administration is claiming that all precautionary measures and preparation are being done to deal with the rain.
Thatta, Badin, Dadu, Degree, Umerkot and other cities of Sindh also received thundershowers last night which damaged crops. Power supply was suspended in many areas.
The Meteorological Department said that Badin, Thatta, Hyderabad and Dadu are also at risk of urban flooding due to rains. Weak buildings can also be damaged.
Moreover, Lasbela, Sonmiani, Ormara, Pasni, Gwadar, Turbat and Giwani are also at risk of torrential rains and urban flooding.
The Meteorological Department has instructed fishermen to refrain from going into sea due to the chances of floods.
The Director Meteorology Department, Sardar Sarfraz while talking to a private channel said that low air pressure is almost in the stage of depression due to which heavy rainfall is expected to occur in Karachi from this evening.

Sardar Sarfraz further said that low wind pressure could form the cyclonic storm and heavy rain in Karachi from tonight, rain is likely to continue across Sindh under low wind pressure and the cities are at risk of urban flooding in cities due to heavy rain.
On September 23, heavy rainfall was witnessed in many different parts of the city of lights.
The scorching heat has been beaten after by heavy showers.
Many parts of the metropolitan city including Airport, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, North Karachi, Shah Faisal Town, Malir, Shah Town, Shah Latif Town, Superhighway, Gadap, Gulshan-e-Hadeed, Satellite Town, Landhi, Saadi Town, and Model Colony received heavy rain showers.
