Karachi to hit 43 degrees Celsius today, says PMD
KARACHI : Karachi to hit 43 degrees Celsius today due to the impact of cyclonic storm Tauktae.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological department, Karachi recorded 33 degrees and the humidity was recorded at 30 per cent, in the morning. today.
However, the city is likely to be exposed to hot temperature today as PMD predicts it will increase to 43 degrees Celsius.
The Met Office revealed, the cyclonic storm Tauktae is moving further north-northwestward and is at a distance of about 800 km south-southeast of Karachi. There are no chances of rain due to the system moving away from the city.
Earlier, the Met predicted heavy falls and gusty winds in Karachi Karachi, Hyderabad, Jamshoro and Shaeed Banzirabad due to cyclonic storm Tauktae.
But, the cyclonic storm Tauktae has changed its direction and there is no prediction of rainfall for now.
The PMD’s Director said, “Sardar Sarfaraz, the cyclone is turning away to the southwest direction,though the cyclone is intensifying, it will pass by Pakistan’s coastal belt without touching it.”
