Karachi to experience another bout of cold wave next week

KARACHI: On Friday, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicted that the city of light will experience another bout of cold wave next week from Jan 7-10.

PMD said the cold wave that shivered every resident in Karachi subsided today as the minimum temperature recorded at 11 degrees Celsius.

Karachiites will have respite from the harsh weather in the coming three days, it added.

Sardar Sarfaraz, MET director said,

“A new weather system will enter the city on Jan 5 from Iran via Baluchistan, which will bring temperatures further down with rainfall in different parts of the country.“

He further said Karachi may also experience rain on the night between Jan 6 and 7, when a new western wave will enter Karachi.

It is noteworthy that the metropolis experienced its coldest day of this season on Monday.
