 Karachi: Temperature forecasts to exceed 40 degrees

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Thursday forecasted maximum temperature of 39 to 41 degrees Celsius in Karachi.

According to the PMD, hot and dry weather is expected in Karachi. The minimum temperature on Thursday was recorded at 25.5 degrees Celsius while at 10 o’clock the temperature in the city was 36 degrees Celsius.

At around 11 a.m. on Thursday, the city felt the heat of 38 degrees Celsius while the air humidity was recorded at 33 percent. The wind speed from the northwest was 3 to 5 nautical miles.

Earlier, Director Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) Sardar Sarfraz had said that the first week of Ramadan would not be hot and the temperature would rise from the second week of Ramadan.
